The Baths of Bagni di Lucca are among the oldest of Europe, the properties of its waters were already known at the time of ancient Rome for their beneficial qualities and therapeutic, but gained importance in the national and international scene after the French Revolution thanks Elisa Baciocchi, sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, who made Bagni di Lucca one of the landmarks of social life. During the Belle Epoque and the early twentieth century, the baths of Lucca hosted many illustrious figures as Pascoli, Shelley, Byron, Puccini and Henry James. The beneficial effects of its thermal waters are excellent for the care and well-being of the skin, relaxation and detoxification.

 

The thermal spas Jean Varraud and House Boccella have been recently restored and are ideal places to go to spend a few hours devoted to their well-being: Here you find the Grotta Grande and Grotta Paolina (which takes its name from the favorite sister of Napoleon) two jewels nature spa steam with a temperature between 40 and 47 degrees centigrade. The two hot caves provide a beneficial anti-stress effect and act on skin smoothing it and making it smooth and radiant. At guests' disposal also the possibility of massages, rejuvenating and relaxing, mud, whirlpools and to use the indoor spa pool.

 

During your stay at my cottage also the ability to go in the Spa of Bagni di Lucca, both around 10 minutes  drive, you will, during the months of June, July and August to spend time relaxing in the park of Villa Ada where you will find two beautiful and large thermal pools surrounded by greenery and surrounded by umbrellas and lounge chairs on which to relax and sunbathe.
The entrance fee includes the use of sun umbrellas and loungers as well as showers and changing rooms. It's  required to wear a headset (available at the entrance) to swim in the pools.

They are also available to customers of the pools a restaurant and a bar where you can taste different specialties.
